For Ida May growing up in the south in 1940 and being a black girl. Was a curse it self, now throw in that she'd prefer to be in the sky instead of on the ground working on the farm. As war breaks across the world she sees it as an opportunity join the WASP's of the U.S army. Having light skin lets her pass as a white women and has to hid her true identity. As she fight's to hid her personalty she learns no matter how hard you try you will always be yourself.
