Main Theme of Ponyboy

In the book The Outsiders, by S.E Hinton,  Ponyboy and his two brothers live in small town in Oklahoma with a gang of trouble makers that are dubbed the Greaser and are in social warfare with a different gang called the Soc, rich city kids that have the world handed to them. Thought  the story many themes are displayed as Pony and his gang battle with the Socs. The one theme that I found constant through the story was survival.
After a brutally fight with Darry, Pony and Johnny are laying down in a park. When a Soc named Bobby that had jumped Johnny and left brutal scars across his whole body. Pony passes out and when he awakes he sees the dead body of Bobby after he had pulled a blade on Johnny.  Johnny and Pony both know what they have to do, that’s  to go on the run.
Now today Johnny would be fine because he killed Bobby in self defense and people hopefully would ot stereotype. Although back then he was an outcast and no one would believe him, so he had to go on the run.  They have to cut their hair so no one notices them.  Also they have to stay off the main roads and shops so no one catches them.
This part of the story reminds me of the story of Airmen Johnson that Ii read online. Where his jet was hit with a SAM missile, he ejected and landed in a forest. He had to survive eight days behind enemy lines. Now of course he was surviving from soldiers  that would fire at will at even the sight of him and Pony was on the run from police that wouldn’t kill him, but the theme of survival stays the same in both stories.

Most everyone these day has do to something to survive even if that means being home alone for an hour. You have to survive or not burn down the house, but I grantee most people would not be able to survive what Pony did.

Thank You Ma'am Alternate Ending

Authors Note: This is a piece in witch I predict what would happen after Mrs. Luella Bates Washington Jones shut the door in Roger. I believe he would do what he did because she changed roger and he doesn't want to let her down.

The boy wanted to say something else other that "Thank you, ma’am" to Mrs. Luella Bates Washington Jones, but he couldn’t do so as he turned at the barren stoop and looked back at the large woman in the door. He barely managed to say "Thank you" before she shut the door.  He looked down in his pocket and saw the ten dollars he was given  from Ms. Washington, he looked back at the door, then back at the money again. Then he proceed to the nearest shoe shop where they sold blue swade shoes.
As he walked to the door of the shop he noticed a homeless man sitting on the street right beside the store. It was a chilly September night and this man had nothing on but a torn shirt and a pair of ripped pants. When I walked by he said” Spare Change?” I replied “No but I do have a spare place to stay for a while”He directed him towards Mrs. Luella Bates Washington Jones house.

Ponyboy Changing

Authors note: This is a character analysis piece about PonyBoy in the book The Outsiders

In the book “The Outsiders” by S.E. Hinton, a young man named Ponyboy is a fourteen year old on the side of the road. His parents dead when he was young in a car crash leaving him to live with his brothers Soda and Darry. Along with a gang of misfits. To add on to that they’re in a gang war with the Socs, the rich kids that have the world handed to them. Pony’s dream is to become a hood like the rest of his gang. His brother Darry doesn’t like this idea because Pony is smart and athletic, Darry believes that he has a shot at going to college and escaping hood life. Pony starts to relies that being a hood and in a constant gang war you can never win isn’t a good career path. So he decides to change for the better.
As the story progresses Pony changes slowly. He meets a Soc girl at a drive in movie theater named Cherry, he tells how lucky she is to have the world given to her. She replies that she doesn’t have the world made and that sometimes life as a Soc can be as hard as a Greaser and at that point Pony started to have sympathy for the Socs.  realized that everyone has their hardships not just greasers. Another example is when they get to a school house and rush in to save the kids that were trapped in there with his buddy Johnny. The school house starts to collapse, Johnny throws Pony out the window to save his life. Not only did it change the way people viewed Greasers, it made Pony want to help more people.
People can be alter by anything, in this case it was good for Ponyboy  but in the book “Between Shades of Grey” by Ruta Sepetys, a young girl named Lina is living in Lithuania during 1941. The NKVD the Soviet military police start do deport people. Lina and her family are forced to go to Sibera. They do hard Labor for 10 years as the years go on she becomes angry with the soviets and wants to kill all of them for making here go through hard labor. For Pony he charged for the better and ended the gang war between the Greaser and Socs.

My Thoughts on The Beginning of America

Authors Note:The prompt for this years patriots pen was "What would you say if you could say to the founding fathers"

Dear, Founding Fathers

For starters I would like to thank you for laying the foundation for a great nation. You did some things right, some things wrong. You had a wonderful idea but you went wrong.  The idea of America is freedom that’s what everyone wanted from the kingdom and that’s what we got , but America had slaves that were brought out of their homeland to a country forced to do labor for free. The slave’s weren’t given any of the freedoms that rich white men got that’s one mistake. In addition to that women weren’t ether, women weren’t given a right to vote until 1920 they had no say in public issues and same things for African American’s only much later in 1960. The second amendment “Right’s to bear arms” this has been disputed to this day were or not this should be an amendment. At first anyone could buy a firearm until they were beginning to be mass produced and crime rates sky rockets because of this. A law was passed that if you had a felony you couldn’t buy a weapon but this only created more problems, creating a massive black market that criminals bought guns without the government knowing. The last thing I’ll rip apart is that “All men shall be created equally” that was one of the greats told lie’s to people, like a cheesy infomercial.  It took 1865 to have slaves released of their free labor that was mandatory and finally given a shot to live the American dream… or so they thought. Once again America lied they weren’t slave’s anymore, they were social outcasts know and had to swim in different pools than white people. Eat in different restaurants than white people, stay in different hotels and go to  schools with poor education.  It took one hundred years later to finally get it right. Founding fathers you tried to do the right thing. Yes but your efforts came up short. Now it did take awhile to get America right and still today people are trying to get it right, but you made this great nation that started off under the tyranny of a king and is know the leader in freedom.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Thank You,
Ryan

Cause and Effect

Authors Note: This is a cause and effect piece on the book The outsiders. Warning if you want to read this book this piece contains spoilers.

For Ponyboy life has always be rough. To start things off his parents were kill in a car crash leaving him and his three brothers to live and flight on there on. To add on to that he runs with a gang called the greaser that are considered low class and are at war with their opposing gang the Socs, the rich city kids that have their life on a silver platter. The event that I will be explain is when Jonny shot Bob a popular Soc in self defense.

The effects it had on the story were. Johnny looks like a murderer, it also brings the Soc greaser conflict to a boiling point. After the police get wind of Johnny killing someone Ponyboy and Dallas are trying to hide him they stumble across a church that’s on fire, Johnny  and Ponyboy rush in to save whoever is inside. After saving the people inside the church starts to fall and Johnny throw pony out a window to save him, but a piece of timber catches Johnny, tares open his back and brakes his spine. He later dies in a hospital. The effects on the story if this never happened would have been Johnny would go to jail and would be died but on the flip side it helps the Greaser and Socs realize that they need to stop fight or more people could get killed.

The Conflict and Resolution of The Million Dollar Throw

In the book Million Dollar Throw, by Mike Lupca. Nate Brodie nicknamed Brady for the shotgun he has for an arm. With money in the running dry he has a one in a life time shot to hit a tire swing at a patriots game. The main conflict in this book was, Nate family was almost broke and they would have to move away to save the last dollars that they still have.
The way they resolve this is by, a man that is sponsoring the throw offers him if he misses intentionally  dollars so he doesn't have to pay 1,000,000 dollars if he makes it through the tire swing. Nate rejects the offer to win one milllon dollars because he thinks he can hit he tire swing. At half time of the game Nate winds up and throws. He made it through the tire swing cleanly.

The First Football Win

Authors Note: This piece is a personal narrative about my first tackle football win

Sweat poured down my face as the national anthem ended. One year of tackle football that had been anything but perfect, 0 and 6 to be in fact. Well this year was no different after three bitter defeats everyone’s morale was at rock bottom, I was too after, every heart breaking lose, every oh so close, I was ready to throw in the towel, but I  had a job to do and that was to play every play, every snap with 110% and not to quit. As I snapped up my helmet and jogged up on to the field I remember thinking “man another big team, another loss”.

The first series started as the usually three and out.  As I jogged up to the line and took up my spot at left end, the other team broke  broke the huddle and ran up to the line I saw the biggest 12 year old boy I had ever seen, I mean 5’11 build like a professional weight lifter, looked mad too. He was ready to kill. My 5’8 scrawny frame made me look like a toddler next to a grow man but if there’s anything my coach thought me is that that the fastest guy wins. So will he tried to muscle me around I ran right around him and made 2 tackles on that drive. We stopped them on the first drive and the whole first half. Also we did the impossible and we were up seven to nothing, but one major obstacle stood in our way and that was second half after we had notorious collapse a fourteen point lead last game I wasn’t ready for that to happen for a second time and 40 other individuals weren’t either.

After the speech from coach Ramlow that could have made a motivational speaker jealous. I was ready, and it was about time we won. As the music finished, and the team got ready... I swear my heart jump out of my chest every time the ball was snapped for fear of a collapse, and on a 3rd and long it happened. The half-back broke two tackles and was in to the endzone. The rest of the quarter was quiet as we rolled in to the final quarter. I looked like I had been in a water park covered in sweat . On first, second and third series we were stopped dead in our tracks and we couldn't move the ball one inch. Luckily the Black defense was on there A game and had stopped their offence too. With 5 minutes  left we made progress and got a massive first down that spurred a rally in our team,  three plays later after a 2nd down stop that left us on the away team's 30 yard line with two yards to go. As the X(wide receiver) ran in to tell the QB our play. He called the 9-37 sweep with meant I pulled and Mike got the ball. My heart stopped when I heard the play called out as the huddle was broke. Millions of thought raced a through my head all ended with me doing something wrong. “Red, Set, Go” the quarterback called out and I raced across the line. With Mike in toe, I leveled the free safety and Mike was gone. We did it, we scored with three minutes remaining . As the other team tried with all their mite they were unable to score and were stopped on a 3rd down, coach put me in and again I was nervous I was going to something wrong. With Mr. Muscles lined up across from me I knew the  play would come my side. “Hike” said their QB and the Full Back came at me like a bull in a china shop straight for me  and what happened… he got laid out. The game was won we stopped them but with one minute left we had to chew the clock witch was no problem at all. 0:00 the scoreboard read as we won. The next 30 second of my life were a blur and sweat was not the only thing coming out of my eyes, I wasn't the only one ether, I mean everyone was crying except for head coach Ramlow. After his finally speech and a team breakdown I ran up and hugged him, He’ll deny this but I swear to this day he was crying.

Flight For Your Life

Authors note: This piece was wrote after 9/11 so I was in that  mind frame of patriotism and heroism.

“Flight 49 has been delayed”. Oh great, that’s just great. Another bump in the road on a business trip that has be dreadful from the beginning, when I first arrived in Brazil, the moron of a taxi driver couldn’t find my hotel so he got lost in the middle the of ghetto  and had to call one of his friends to take me to my hotel at a lovely three in the morning . Next I was late to the  promotion meeting where I was suppose to get a promotion but I didn’t and that slacker Nolan got it , how can anyone like him anyways he smells like liquid garbage. Oh well time to go home and disappoint my wife with bad news, never happy always something wrong . “Flight 49 is now boarding at E6”. Well I guess that flash back sped up the time, let’s see where I have to go get to my gate. Oh beautiful I have to sprit all the way across an airport. As I arrived at my gate the ticket lady deiced  to take one last blow to the colossal failure of  a trip. “I see you been running a lot” commenting on the ocean sized sweat stains on favorite work shirt with that I’m a gonna be jerk look on her face. “Yeah, thanks just give me my ticket” I snarled at the lady. “Have a nice flight” she said in that stereotypically ticket lady voice. As I strolled down the jet way and on to the airplane I got stared down by everyone as if they thought I was the cause of the delay. “Great the worlds out to get me” I muttered. As I walked to my seat 13B I was meet by a man of 6,1 and at least 350lbs sitting in 13A and most of 13B. I taped on his shoulder politely but he was too busy face down in a tray of airplane food, After thing that had gone wrong  in the span of three days if was in no mood to play mister nice guy. “Hey Rolls, you mind moving?” he sucked in and let me by , finally my trip was over.

I plugged in my ear buds to my I-Phone and tried to forget everything when…BOOM! A massive shutter rocked  the airplane in a violent fashion. Throwing bodies everywhere. From what I could see there was a hole the size of a door in the left side of the airplane. Armed terrorists caring hand guns stormed the cockpit and mercilessly  shot the pilot and co pilot. They knocked out the flight engineer and shot him in the leg . I couldn’t believe it.  I knew I had to do something . I hopped up but drew the attention of one of the armed thugs “What are you doing?” he barked. “I… Um… Need to go the bathroom” I said nervously. “No nobody move or we blow the whole thing up” he said as his voice cracked. What an armature I thought.  Although he had ear that an elephant would envoy because as I moved to strike he turned and read his pistol. “I warned you” he said. It was game over, when Rolls dove out of his seat and to a bullet for me. Judging by the horror in the gunman face you could tell it was his first time with a gun and his last, I hurled my savior and laid out the thug. It was a solid hit and sent the gun twirling. I knock him out right away and moved on to the first class cabin of the plane.

The first class cabin was surprisingly quite and clam except for the sound of crying and sobbing, otherwise most people were just in shock and awe mode. As I reached the cockpit door I heard  “We should just blow it up” “No you moron we fly it in to a building” “Why don’t we land it and take hostages” “Do we even know how to land a plane?”. While the three stooges collaborated I talked to the first class cabin and gave them the score and I asked if anyone was willing to help, a young man about the age of 13 stood up and said he’d help even though there at least 15 men in first class none was willing to fight but the young man. I handed him the pistol and asked if he had ever shot a gun he said “Nope, never have but today is the day to learn I guess” As we approached the cockpit door ever thing was going through my mind my wife, my kids, my job. I told the kid that we enter on three and go guns blazing. “Ready? He nodded “ 1… 2… 3!”.

Best Meal I Ever Ate

Authors Note:I wrote a short piece about the best meal i ever ate

For some people the best meal they ever ate was a mouth watering stake or a to die for hamburger. For me the best meal I ever ate was when I first moved to Pewaukee. I was breaded chicken after the first day at a new school. I came nervous as all and afraid for my life. My mom made me and warm meal that wade my life better in an instant and that the best meal I ever ate.

Favorite Sport

Authors Note: This is a short piece about my favorite sport.

Favorite Sport
"Once you've wrestled, everything else in life is easy" Dan Gable. I think that quote summarizes wrestling very well because it's really hard work and takes a lot of dedication to do, and it makes a hard contact sport like football seem easy. That's why it's my favorite sport because it’s very hard work and it challenges you. Also it makes you a better person. It’s the hardest thing you will ever do because it pushes you to your limit. Plus no one is out there but you, so if you lose it’s your fault.

Symbolism

Symbolism
By Alex Goodyear & Ryan Beattie & Brandon Berg

To build a fire page 1 “The day had broken cold and gray…” This makes me think that something bad is going to happen.

To build a fire page.1 “That cheerful orb, would just peep above the skyline” This makes me think that he’s happy to see the sun

To build a fire page 3 “55 degrees below zero” This makes me feel like that even though his body is freezing he’s content that he is still alive.

To build a fire page.5” The dog has learned fire” This makes me feel that he has made a connection with the dog even as he’s dying he’s still ring to save the dog.

To build a fire page 17 “There was the fire, snapping and crackling and promising life with every dancing flame.” This makes me think that he will survive. That he won’t freeze. This is kind of a symbol of hope to him and me.

To build a fire page 20-21 “The dead fingers could neither touch nor clutch” this tell me that he is going to die. He can no longer make fire. Now he is stranded in the arctic alone and just lost the felling in his figures.

To build a fire page 22 “There was no wind to blow them out” that reminded me when I tried to start a fire and the wind blow it out every time I tried to start a fire.

To build a fire page 23 “The blazing matches fell sizzling into the snow” that reminded me when I spit in a fire It will sizzle.

Farm Animals

Authors note: This is about what my group chose to write about.

Farm Animals

“Baaaa” the sheep wailed as it was being shaved. “Shhh” I said softly. It was the last sheep of the day. I think I finally have enough to make a bed for myself. After...that happened. The bombs, guns, fire, death. That’s when I lost everything I had. Even my family. I took refuge in this old abandoned barn with sheep everywhere. I don’t even have a bed to lay on at night. I think I do now though. BAM! The barn doors swung open with force. “On the ground” Shout a man and that’s when it all went black...

Drilling in Alaska's wilderness

Drilling in Alaska wild life refuge

Author Note:This is my opinion about drilling on ANWR wildlife refuge. I'm not trying to persuade you in anyway about this subject.

A toxic paradise, a land once home to many interesting creatures and plants. Now all that habits it are drilling fields that stretch for miles and miles. The jobs that are created are huge and the local economy is booming. At the price of many endanger animal’s lives. Now flip over to a refuge that hasn’t been affected by the craving for oil. An elk dashes across a vast pain of snow unaware that his life could have been dramatically altered. The local people still lobby for the US to drill on the land, but Congress refuses. The local economy spirals downward and the US is in desperate need for oil. Back to realty the US doesn’t allow drilling on the refuge but it’s believed there is bountiful fields of rich Oil. In my opinion I think we should drill on the refuge because it would bring in money and create jobs. Also it would bring oil that could be useful. Plus animals can be reborn and locations can be remade, oil and a sinking economy cannot.

Our consumption rate of oil is increasing at a sky high rate. We will be using a projected 30 million barrels of oil a day by the year 2025. With a Domestic supply in that year of about 9 million barrels, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that is not going to work. Now this oil supply will not cure the problem but the estimated 10 billion barrels will for sure ease the pain. On the other hand the blast for jobs would be huge. Think of it, some of the people that got laid off will be able to bring fresh food home for a family, for once and not have to worry about money.

All of this is not a happy story let’s be clear on that. This beautiful land would most likely be destroyed but if oil drilling were to be allowed to go in to plan only 1% of land would be affected. A measly 1% of the ANWR land. Not the state of Alaska just 1%. Doesn’t sound that bad now does it. To some though that little land is just to precious to give up. Like you favorite toy as a kid. Only if you toy was covered in beautiful mountain ranges, with crude oil and many people fighting for it.

The social effect that this would have would be huge and I’m not talking about a little post on Facebook, I’m talking about the world wide news. This would most likely both revive negative and positive criticism.  The most obvious thing they would be criticized about this is why would you wreck perfectly good untouched land, and the positive would be thank you for caring about get more oil and providing more jobs. This would also show that we don't have to depend on foreign oil all the time.

The beautiful land inside the ANWR is meant for animals. Yes, but we would only drill on that 1% of
land that would not devastate the biome at all. Also nature can be rebuild, we can rebuild. We will run out of oil at some point and will have to drill on this land. If we started now we can rebuild the land. The animals will come back and things will go back to normal. Only this time we will be 10 million barrels of oil richer.

Underdog

Authors Note:This is a response to the book The Underdogs by Mike Lupica.

Underdog.  Definition, person or party that is expedited to fail or to lose. We all have been underdogs at some point in our life weather it be school or sports, or you been told that your for sure are going to fail. Then you go out and try prove them wrong. In the book The Underdogs that's what Will tries to do with his football team for a town that lost everything. Will lost almost everything to including his Mom. Proving that if you're from a town that's small or has a small team. You will be look down upon. In sports at least.

When I played football my first year we were a small squad with a few good players. Size wise, we all where miniature the biggest player being 5'5. We were for sure the underdogs going in to every game and we lost ever single one. Most everyone gave up and stopped caring, but a couple of people my self included never gave in and we nearly won our last game only losing by 6 points. This relates to the story because no one care about the football team and they struggle to get 11 people just to be on the team. They got destroyed in their first game because know one cared.

No one caring about something in general is bad but denying kids to play sports because of some odd or outlandish reason is just plan and flat out dumb. Like in the book Tackling Jim Crow by Alan Levy were black football players dealt with racism and criticism. This is related to the book I read because there were told that they were awful and couldn't. On a much smaller and less insensitive scale. Never the less though they were still the underdogs.

Underdog that title for some people it crushes them and makes them quit. For some people it drives them to rise above and do better. Mr. Lupica did great job of saying that in end saying "Maybe being an underdog isn't such a bad thing, well for me atleast" So no matter what if you are on a small team or for a small town you will always be under rated and an underdog, but it's your job to prove them wrong.

Death

Authors note:This is a response to the book Breathe By Cliff McNish. I not trying to persuade  you to thinking one way or another about death. That's your opinion not mine. This is just a response.

We all incur this problem. Someone you love or are close to dies. It's natural life. There's no stopping death, and it's foolish to try to. In the book Breathe by Cliff McNish. Jack and his Mom Shara lost their dad to a heart attack and move a shady house in a forest were four children died along with a mother. Jack’s talent of being able to communicate with the dead helps him find a story that he never wanted to find. Also he learns that people are all going to die at some time in the feature, so before that day comes enjoy it.         I've had this problem happen to me with someone dying in our family, my great grandma. I watched her die slowly each day. Did I stop caring about her though? No I didn't. Why should you then? She may have been dying but she kept smiling and joking around with our family until the very last moment. Everyone handles death differently, for some people it does affect them at all. Some burst in to tears. People even kill themselves over the deceased.        Now I'm not saying that you shouldn't be upset over a lost one, you should, no doubt about that. I'm just saying that you should remember them not try to bring them back to life, because in most cases they are going to a better place. Mr. McNish briefly talked about this at the end of the book saying. "...I understand that losing someone is sad, but there is no need to take them away from the other side. I will see all of them at some point..."        Death it's very sad, it always will be too. You cannot deny death no matter how stronger you are. Mr.McNish did a great job of getting this across and trying to keep good humor and a light mood in the story. Witch was hard especially with the main topic being death. At some point in our lives we are all going to die but before you do live your life do the fullest.

Adversity

Authors Note: This is a Response to the book Blood on the Horns by Roland Lazenby.

"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.". Martin Luther King Jr's said at one of the most famous speeches in the world’s history. Almost 50 years later people judge people by their race, color of skin and religion. Michael Jordan found this out as he played basketball. Proving that no matter how great you are you always have to battle adversity, in this case racism and criticism.

In the book Blood on the Horns  by Roland Lazenby, he tells how Michael Jordan had to put up with and how he dealt with it.  That's not the only point in the book but it's the main one. He does a great job of getting the point across by telling the read some of the signs he would see and words that would be shouted at him. Giving a first person view of what being picked on because of your race. This was not only at away stadiums too it was at home stadiums.By Bull's fans! I think it's horrible that he had to put up with even by his own fans. That's like being called a fail or a mistake by your own parents. How would you like that? Yet people still do it to this day.

That's not the only war he had to wage. Owner Jerry Reinsdorf and GM Jerry Krause did build the team around Jordan but they wanted to get rid of the Head Coach Phil Jackson. Michael didn't approve of this and said that if Jackson got let go he would leave. This sparked the bitter relationship. Eventually started a media firestorm of hateful comments and refusing to go to practices between player and head coach against owner and GM. This would only get worse when they attempted to trade away Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman who had became great friends with Michael.

Even through all the hate and disrespect he became the best basketball player even. One of the point in the story is this never let someone tell you that you can't do this or that because of you religion or race.   Also another point in the book is that adversity will always be in your life and you have two choices. Get stronger from it or give in to all the hate, criticism and racism

The Worst Day Ever(The first day of school)

"No Mom" I screamed as I was getting read for my first day of school. I was tried beyond belief as I fought for control of my backpack. Finally I cracked and gave in. The walk to my stop seemed like a mile but it was only a few yards. My first step on the bus was horrifying, all the older kids look at me with the I'm going to kill you look. So I gladly took a seat in the front of the bus and rocked back and front like I had just seen a ghost. Beads of tears rolled down my face as I nervously watched other people getting on the bus. When we arrived to school my teacher looked mean and grumpy. This traumatized me even more. The next thing I did was do a full 180 and face plat on the hard floor.      When I awoke I was sitting next to my teacher in the health room and this "grumpy old lady" was actually very nice, and what she said next I'll never forget "Ryan....if I had a dime every time a kid on the first day did this, I be on a beach in Mexico, don't worry about it your fine". I smiled like a champ and laughed. Even though I moved I see once in a while and we smile at each other knowing that share the worst day of my life. Witch turned out to be the one of the best.

One day

Authors note: This is based on a true story about my friend in my old school, that this happened to him and was his best friend. Also he did have a dog but it name was not  Rufus that was what he called he.

I stare out the window, it's a beautiful day. Little kids running around, shouting and playing ball. I use to be able to do those things but know I'm locked up in this room. Oh my name is Gunner by the way...well that's my nickname at least and I have muscle disorder witch means I can 't walk or move my arms but I can write though. That's how I communicate, no phone, no video games and no tv. Just a pen and paper, that's all I need. I had many friends but no anymore. The only people that cares about is my mom and my dad, but that sometimes. I have a dog  Rufus a German Shepard. He is my best friend and he never leaves my room expect for walks. With Christmas closing in I just wish for one thing, to make my families life not so hard and to be normal again, but that will never happen so I guess an xbox would be cool.           Before the muscle issue I use to be an elite football player. One of the best, but that collapsed allowing with the rest of my life. I really want to go back to school though. That's all I want. At least I have a cool room. It's all white.with a small bed in it, but I've learned a very important lesson, that nothing in life is handed to you that you have to work for it. This is how my life is every day. Once one obstacle is clear 14 more show up, but that gives me courage to fight for a normal life again. One day maybe there will be a cure for cancer and for my disorder. One day.

The Importance of read instructions

Authors note: This is about what that quote means to me. Also this is for school and I'm a bit of a novice so if you can give me feed back about what I could fix.

Quote"When all else fails, read the instructions"-Unknown

As I stroll down the labyrinth of row that create Wal-mart I try stay 10 steps behind this man that I have to call my dad. I hate this man, he left my mom, my sister and I when I was 3 years old. Sometimes he'd try to start conversation about how life was, I would never respond. Once we got home I was greeted by a surprise. A lego car. My dad goes "Hey would you like to help me build this"? "Umm....Sure". He opened the box without even looking at anything put the box in front of him and started to build. "Hey dad aren't you going to look at the instructions" "Son I build cars before I think I know what I'm doing ". I watched in amazement as head fiddled away with all the tiny pieces until he made something that looked like a tank. This process went on for hours until about 1 in the morning. When I finally said "Dad I think they made these instructions for a reason" "You're right". For the next 2 hours me and my dad put this together piece by piece and when we were done I actually did something that I never did before and smiled at him.

Life in the day of a Gift Card

Authors Note:This is about what I think it would be like as life as a  gift card. Also I received this for Christmas

Whoa...Whoa. Get me out of here. It’s freezing in this box and it smells worse than were I came from with I have no clue is. Agghhhh I am in the air know, very scary. Finally light. “Oh thanks mom from the gift card”. Next thing I know I’m under a shirt with some money. “Hey wassup” “WHO ARE YOU!”Washington “Money, we have been in  this draw for years”. Then I blacked out.
When I awoke still with money, only we were moving. “Where are we”? I asked.”We are leaving” said a piece of money whose name was . “Ok we are here then”  “Walmart I thi...” Before he could finish the sentence. We were flung into the air and It became very dark. Along time later I grabbed by a man with huge hands and swiped though slot, and jammed in a huge thing. With a lot of Washington and that's the story of my life so far.
