Best Meal I Ever Ate

Authors Note:I wrote a short piece about the best meal i ever ate

For some people the best meal they ever ate was a mouth watering stake or a to die for hamburger. For me the best meal I ever ate was when I first moved to Pewaukee. I was breaded chicken after the first day at a new school. I came nervous as all and afraid for my life. My mom made me and warm meal that wade my life better in an instant and that the best meal I ever ate.

Favorite Sport

Authors Note: This is a short piece about my favorite sport.

Favorite Sport
"Once you've wrestled, everything else in life is easy" Dan Gable. I think that quote summarizes wrestling very well because it's really hard work and takes a lot of dedication to do, and it makes a hard contact sport like football seem easy. That's why it's my favorite sport because it’s very hard work and it challenges you. Also it makes you a better person. It’s the hardest thing you will ever do because it pushes you to your limit. Plus no one is out there but you, so if you lose it’s your fault.

Symbolism

Symbolism
By Alex Goodyear & Ryan Beattie & Brandon Berg

To build a fire page 1 “The day had broken cold and gray…” This makes me think that something bad is going to happen.

To build a fire page.1 “That cheerful orb, would just peep above the skyline” This makes me think that he’s happy to see the sun

To build a fire page 3 “55 degrees below zero” This makes me feel like that even though his body is freezing he’s content that he is still alive.

To build a fire page.5” The dog has learned fire” This makes me feel that he has made a connection with the dog even as he’s dying he’s still ring to save the dog.

To build a fire page 17 “There was the fire, snapping and crackling and promising life with every dancing flame.” This makes me think that he will survive. That he won’t freeze. This is kind of a symbol of hope to him and me.

To build a fire page 20-21 “The dead fingers could neither touch nor clutch” this tell me that he is going to die. He can no longer make fire. Now he is stranded in the arctic alone and just lost the felling in his figures.

To build a fire page 22 “There was no wind to blow them out” that reminded me when I tried to start a fire and the wind blow it out every time I tried to start a fire.

To build a fire page 23 “The blazing matches fell sizzling into the snow” that reminded me when I spit in a fire It will sizzle.

Farm Animals

Authors note: This is about what my group chose to write about.

Farm Animals

“Baaaa” the sheep wailed as it was being shaved. “Shhh” I said softly. It was the last sheep of the day. I think I finally have enough to make a bed for myself. After...that happened. The bombs, guns, fire, death. That’s when I lost everything I had. Even my family. I took refuge in this old abandoned barn with sheep everywhere. I don’t even have a bed to lay on at night. I think I do now though. BAM! The barn doors swung open with force. “On the ground” Shout a man and that’s when it all went black...
